Continue to Consider Start-Ups and Innovation as a Breakthrough
Objectives of Plan on implement activities to support and promote start-up in Dong Thap province in 2022 of the Provincial People's Committee are to continue spreading the entrepreneurial spirit among community; step by step to perfect the startup ecosystem; to effectively exploit potentials, advantages and values of indigenous resources; to consider start-ups and innovation as a breakthrough; to strive to turn Dong Thap province into a leading locality in attracting and developing the start-up community in the Mekong Delta.

Specifically, Dong Thap province sets to achieve and exceed the following targets in 2022: Training and fostering for more than 1.000 people on starting a business, business administration, innovation and digital transformation; having more than 30 products recognized as OCOP products with 3 or 4 stars; supporting the development of at least 04 innovative start-up businesses; accompanying and developing over 50 startup ideas and projects; organizing at least 06 events and start-up forums to connect the startup community, businesses and investors; organizing Dong Thap province Startup and Innovation Festival in 2022.
To accomplish the above goals, along with pre-start-up support, the province shall also focus on promoting start-ups with activities such as connecting the startup community; enhancing the role of start-up impact organizations; training, fostering and improving management capacity and product development; incubation for potential projects and start-ups; connecting and improving the capacity of start-up support staff and mentors; building an infrastructure system for start-up activities; encouraging businesses to provide necessary outsourced services for start-ups (tax, accounting, marketing and packaging design); organizing start-up support events, Startup and Innovation Contest, Startup and Innovation Festival, etc.
Besides, it is also necessary to implement activities to support the development of start-up businesses: guidance on business establishment procedures; accessing to capital to support start-ups; perfecting and developing products; technology application, trade promotion, market expansion; developing start-up products to standardize into OCOP products; capturing information on the production and business situation of enterprises and start-up projects.
