Procedures for issuance of criminal record cards to foreigners already residing in Viet Nam

Form requesting issuance of the police clearance (certificate 03/2013/TT-LLTP ; 04/2013/TT-LLTP )
Certified copy of passport; Certified copy of household registration book, temporary or permanent residence certificate in Vietnam (In case of submission of photocopies, the original must be presented for comparison. If the original is not available for comparison, a certified copy shall be submitted as prescribed by law). In case those documents are not available, the passport or separate visa of the person issued with a criminal record card stamped by the immigration control unit of Vietnam can be submitted.
An attorney in case of authorizing another person to carry out the procedures for requesting the issuance of a judicial record card No. 1 (In case the applicants are parents, wife, husband, child of the person requested to be issued a criminal record, letter of attorney is not required). A letter of attorney must be certified in accordance with the law of Vietnam or the law of the country where the person is a citizen or permanent resident. In case of authorization according to the provisions of the law of the country of which such person is a citizen or permanent resident, a letter of attorney must be consularly legalized according to the provisions of Vietnam’s law and translated into Vietnamese. Individuals requesting the issuance of Criminal Record Cards No. 2 may not authorize others to carry out the procedures for requesting the issuance of Criminal Record Cards.
A copy of the identity card or citizen identification card or passport of the authorized person (in case of authorization requesting the issuance of judicial record card No.1).
Fee: 200.000 VND (200,000 VND/time/person. In case the person who is issued a criminal record card requests a superior to issue 2 copies in a single request, from the 3rd card onwards, the agency issuing the criminal record card will collect an additional 5.000 VND/copy, to cover the necessary expenses for the printing of the criminal record card form.)
Processing time: within 15 days, from the date of receiving valid dossiers.
