Economic Recovery has Made Positive Changes
At a briefing in the afternoon of November 24th, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) – Mr. Pham Thien Nghia expressed his excitement and appreciated the results of restoring production in the province in the past week with many positive changes. Many localities have made efforts to support businesses and companies to restore operations.

However, the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic remains the most challenging, the number of cases recorded in enterprises and industrial zones is increasing. To maintain production in conditions of safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Chairman of the PPC requested localities to drastically implement effective prevention and control measures according to the motto of fast detection, compact zoning, and prevention of the epidemic from spreading.
Mr. Pham Thien Nghia asked localities to continue checking the number of enterprises, companies, and cooperatives in their areas to facilitate reproduction and capacity upgrading; to coordinate with businesses to do well in epidemic prevention.
Regarding public investment, the Chairman of the PPC requested the localities to focus on reviewing and speeding up the implementation and investment capital disbursement; remove difficulties and obstacles in all stages from procedures, bidding, ground clearance, etc. Along with that, he emphasized localities to care, support and promote private investment projects.
By November 24th, the whole province had 63.148 businesses recovered, accounting for 89.2% of the total. This is an increase of more than 5% compared to the reporting period last week (November 17th), with 160.905 employees. There are 05/12 districts and cities that have positive change and recovery, including Hong Ngu city and the districts: Lap Vo, Cao Lanh, Hong Ngu and Thap Muoi. It is expected that 586 facilities will be recovered in the next week.
The province has 889 construction works that have been put into operation (including completed works), accounting for 82.5% of the total number of construction works. This is an increase of 2,8% compared to the previous reporting period. It is expected that 97 works will be restored in the next week.
There are 45 investment projects approved investment policy decisions and granted investment registration certificates with a total investment capital of VND 4.943 billion. In which 05 projects have been completed and put into operation with total investment capital of VND 866 billion; 24 projects are implementing investment procedures with a total investment capital of VND 3.201 billion.
