At the meeting, Mr. Kenya Endo expressed his pleasure that the delegation had scheduled a visit to work with the Bureau and survey the Yokohama City Wastewater Treatment Plant. Previously, the Dong Thap Provincial Department of Construction and the Yokohama City River and Drainage Area Management Bureau signed a cooperation agreement in the field of drainage. In the coming time, Mr. Kenya Endo hopes that Dong Thap province and Yokohama City will continue to cooperate on more issues in the field of urban development.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Dieu stated that the issues of cooperation between the Department of Construction and the River and Drainage Area Management Bureau are practical and highly feasible. As a province in the Mekong Delta region, Dong Thap province also faces challenges in water supply, drainage, wastewater treatment, infrastructure development, urban development, etc.

He expressed his hope that in the coming time, relevant parties will effectively implement the signed cooperation contents. During the implementation process, the Provincial People's Committee will direct agencies to actively coordinate, and at the same time, request the Yokohama City River and Drainage Area Management Bureau to pay attention to effectively implementing the signed contents.

Mr. Kenya Endo informed that in the near future, he will make a business trip to Dong Thap province to conduct a field survey of the signed cooperation contents related to water supply and drainage infrastructure.

Following up, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Dieu invited the Director of the Yokohama City River and Drainage Area Management Bureau to arrange a working schedule in June 2026 to facilitate the Bureau's business trip and also to experience the cultural activities of Dong Thap province, including the 1st Dong Thap Fruit Festival in 2026.

After the meeting at the Yokohama City River and Drainage Area Management Bureau, the delegation visited the Yokohama City Wastewater Treatment Plant. Here, the delegation was introduced to the wastewater treatment process and technology, as well as the products created after the treatment process.
