The Digital Health Ecosystem, towards Smart Health

The project's goal is to develop and apply digial applications and smart technologies in health sector, thereby contributing to the development of a quality, equitable, efficient, and international healthcare system; assisting people in easily accessing health information, using health services efficiently, and being protected, cared for, and improved continuously throughout their lives. 

Specifically, the project develops three main targets, including smart health care for disease diagnosis and prevention; a model of a smart hospital and  electronic medical records; and smart management and operating systems.

Dong Thap province sets goals for 2023, including the provision of 80% of administrative procedures in the health sector through level 4 online public services; 90% of the population will use electronic health records; 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities support people in remote medical examination and treatment; 100% of on-business units, medical examination, and treatment establishments communicate with people using information technology and accept non-cash payment or payment via mobile devices; 100% of provincial hospitals  implement the replacement of film in diagnostic imaging by digital technology to ensure that the information is full and cost-effective.

Along with that, 100% of commune health stations are deployed with the health management software with full functions according to regulations of the Ministry of Health; Dong Thap General Hospital and Sa Dec General Hospital deploy the smart hospital model; 100% of provincial and district-level hospitals deploy the application of electronic medical records; the intelligent medical operating system is able to connect data to 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities in the province; and 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities support people in remote medical examination and treatment.

By 2030, 100% of administrative procedures in the health sector will be provided in the form of level 4 online public services; 60% of district-level hospitals and health centers will meet smart hospital standards; 100% of hospitals and medical centers deploy electronic medical records; 100% of hospitals and medical centers have completed the implementation of film replacement with digital photos through the internet to ensure full and cost-effective information; 100% of commune health stations are capable of receiving, examining, and treating local people with the support of remote consultations from upper-level medical experts through online digital platforms.
