Kim Hue Pagoda is located in 41/2 Nguyen Tat Thanh, Ward 1, Sa Dec city and is also known as Hoi Khanh Pagoda (Hoi Khanh temple) or Bong Pagoda (Bong means flower). The pagoda is near to the picturesque Cai Son canal and features remarkable Chinese-style architecture, making it a grand royal beauty in the center of the city.
Kim Hue Pagoda was constructed in 1806. The monks at the pagoda do not know when the name Hoi Khanh Tu first appeared. We only know that those three sentences were etched on the horizontal beam of the old pagoda. People used to call it Bong Pagoda because many flowers were planted in front of it in the past, therefore the pagoda was renamed Kim Hoa Tu, which was eventually translated as Kim Hue Pagoda.
