Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia spoke at the visit, working with FPT Software Japan Co., Ltd.

Starting the business trip to Japan, the delegation of Dong Thap province had a meeting with FPT Software Japan Co., Ltd. (FPT Japan, headquartered in Osaka), which is the largest Vietnamese company in Japan. In 2023, FPT Japan's Hope Fund and FPT People Fund for the Community have implemented the program "Raising your steps to school" in Dong Thap province through supporting the construction of 03 traffic bridges.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged contents related to digital transformation. Chairman of the People's Committee of Pham Thien Nghia province emphasized that digital transformation is one of the key areas Dong Thap focuses on, for the goal of building digital government, digital economy and digital society.

Mr. Pham Thien Nghia also shared that Dong Thap and FPT are implementing cooperation contents in digital transformation and the parties are currently promoting an investment project to build a 3-level high school, hopefully for more cooperation in the coming time.

The delegation visited and worked with Prima Fine Foods Joint Stock Company

Next, the delegation visited and worked with Prima Fine Foods Joint Stock Company specializing in manufacturing meat, vegetables, frozen products, etc. The company covers an area of about 25,000 m2, producing more than 6,000 tons of products per year.

It is known that through the connection of the Japan Asia Research Institute for Health Education and Welfare (JAMWEI Institute), Dong Thap Community College has sent 12 students majoring in Food Technology to practice at Prima Fine Foods Joint Stock Company (03 months).

Chairman of the People's Committee of Pham Thien Nghia province thanked the cooperation between the Company and Dong Thap Community College, thereby, creating conditions for Dong Thap students to study, experience, expand their thinking, practical skills very well in the modern working environment in Japan.

The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee expressed his desire that, in the coming time, the company would research and have more cooperation in Dong Thap, and affirmed that the province would accompany and create favorable conditions for the company to deploy investment in the locality.
