A Dong Thap province delegation visited and worked with Hiraiwa Vietnam Construction Company.

The group from Dong Thap province visited and collaborated with Hiraiwa Vietnam Construction Company (Tokorozawa city, Saitama province) to commence the second working day in Japan. Hiraiwa Vietnam is a construction business that works on big industrial zones and clusters in Vietnam by installing and developing warehouses. They also design projects, repair indoor and outdoor work, and more. Specifically, this is the organization that has approved Dong Thap employees to work under the temporary labor abroad program.

Pham Thien Nghia, the Provincial People's Committee Chairman, announced during the meeting that the province hosted a conference in 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City to discuss trade and investment cooperation between Dong Thap province and the Japanese Business Association, almost one hundred Japanese companies came to the event.

Following the summit, Dong Thap set up a Japanese Business Support Department (Japan Desk Dong Thap) to handle investment and operational procedures in the province and offer prompt assistance to Japanese investors wishing to learn to invest in the province. As a result, the Provincial People's Committee Chairman anticipated that the business would eventually promote the integration of investors into the system or make direct contact with them to inquire about investing in Dong Thap.

The delegation then went to Hanyu City, Saitama Province, and collaborated with its authorities. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee congratulated Mr. Kawata Komei, the Mayor of Hanyu City, on behalf of the delegation. He also presented Dong Thap's potential, attributes, and investment attraction orientation at the same time.

In addition, Mr. Pham Thien Nghia mentioned that Dong Thap and Hanyu City were linked by way of Mr. Watanabe Nobuhiro's introduction, the former Japanese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City. Dong Thap hoped to create future opportunities for cooperation in relevant fields between the two localities through this meeting.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee invited Hanyu city leaders to visit and work with Dong Thap province so that the two sides can further explore a number of potential areas of cooperation, including world fields. The province's strengths are consistent with Japan's, especially cooperation in the field of labor.

The group from Dong Thap province also visited and collaborated with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan during their business trip. Here, Mr. Pham Thien Nghia gave the leaders of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan an overview of Dong Thap, the province's socioeconomic development status, the state of cooperation and investment between Japan and Dong Thap, the province's development trajectory and potential for attracting investment in the future, etc.

Mr. Pham Thien Nghia anticipated that the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan would serve as a diplomatic conduit between Japan and Dong Thap in the near future. He introduced similar areas to connect with Dong Thap in order to reinforce the cordial and ooperative relationship at the local level; also introduced partners to Japanese counterparts who were interested in learning more about the province of Dong Thap's trade and investment potential.
