Dong Thap and JAMWEI Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding on September 27, 2022 on promoting cooperation in many fields. Through the cooperation, it has opened up a variety of opportunities and orientations for students of 02 colleges in the province to access a high-quality and prestigious internship environment in Japan; scientific research, access to information and materials in the field of cooperative orientation, nursing care and new techniques in medical and pharmaceutical testing.

Along with that, the two sides coordinated to organize exchange activities and experiences in the fields of education, high-tech agriculture, promotion of search for agricultural export markets; research on processing lotus products; connecting, introducing Japanese organizations and businesses to participate in a number of projects calling for cooperation, investment in the agricultural sector, etc.

At the meeting, the two sides shared about the orientations in implementing cooperation contents in the coming time. In particular, in 2024, the two sides promote cooperation contents such as: Exchange on elderly care model; implement a short-term training program on nursing for staff and lecturers of Dong Thap Medical College at Hyogo University, etc.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia thanked Mr. Yoshino Mashayoshi - Director of JAMWEI Institute for enthusiastically supporting the delegation of Dong Thap province during the visit and working in Japan; At the same time, JAMWEI Institute will actively coordinate with provincial agencies to continue implementing cooperation contents effectively.

After that, the delegation visited and worked with Nara Higashi Hospital Group, a unit specializing in cooperating with medical associations, universities and colleges in Vietnam on training programs and recruitment information for elderly care human resources to work in Japan.

Sharing at the meeting, the representative of Nara Higashi Hospital Group expressed his desire to recruit high school students in Vietnam, specifically Dong Thap to promote the training model. In particular, the Group will conduct enrollment in Dong Thap and Japanese language training for students in Vietnam to prepare for a stepping stone when coming to Japan to study.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia emphasized that training high-quality human resources, especially in the field of health, is a matter of great concern to the province. Therefore, Mr. Pham Thien Nghia welcomed the proposal of Nara Higashi Hospital Group and hoped that the Group would soon implement this plan while Dong Thap was willing to create conditions them to explore investment and cooperation in the province.
