Continuing his business trip to Japan, on 26/5, Chairman of the People's Committee of Pham Thien Nghia visited and studied about the operation of Satai Cow Farm, under Omigyu Company (Shiga Prefecture, Japan).

It was the place where the delegation of Dong Thap province were introduced and guided to visit and learn about by Mr. Iwanaga Mineichi - Former Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan.
Visiting Satai Cow Farm, Chairman of the People's Committee of Pham Thien Nghia was introduced about the operation, process of caring for and raising cows at the farm.
Mr. Takao Sawai – Director of Omigyu Company said that Sawai Cow Farm was established in 1975. Currently, along with Kobe beef and Matsuzaka beef, OMI beef raised on the farm is one of the three best quality, stable and delicious beef in Japan.
What makes OMI beef a brand is because the cows are raised on the fertile land around Lake Biwa. The amount of clean food and pure water have created beef with a distinct flavor.
Omi cows raised at Sawai Farm are one of the few farms with the highest rated HACCP certification (HACCP is an international standard used in creating a food safety and hygiene quality management system, based on the principles of hazard analysis and critical point control in the food production process to ensure quality and safety to consumers).

Mr. Takao Sawai expressed his desire to cooperate with the province to bring Dong Thap workers to work on the farm; At the same time, in the coming time, the company will promote visiting and working with the province to survey the current situation in cow breeding in Dong Thap and advise, evaluate specifically, as well as implement appropriate cooperation.
Through research, Chairman of the People's Committee of Pham Thien Nghia was impressed with the process of caring for and controlling the quality of beef at Satai cow farm.
For the company's proposal, Mr. Pham Thien Nghia welcomed and shared that Dong Thap has an abundant labor source and the province also focuses on implementing the program to send workers to work abroad for a definite time. Therefore, the province is willing to connect and create conditions for provincial workers to work on farms, this is a good opportunity to bring workers high income and help them access to modern breeding techniques in Japan.
