The representative of Sojitz Vietnam Co., Ltd. thanked the leaders of Dong Thap province for creating conditions for the company to survey the current situation of harvesting, processing and applying rice husks at enterprises in the province. At the same time, he said, Sojitz Vietnam is a general trading company with 100% investment capital from Japan, with many investment activities in the field of business in the Vietnamese market, including the energy and chemical sectors.

Currently, the company is participating in the field of automobiles, specifically the production of tires from rice husks, currently, the company has resources and technology, but it is still difficult in the raw material area. That is the purpose of their visit and work in Dong Thap (it is estimated that the amount of rice husks needed for the factory is estimated at 350,000 tons of rice husks/year).

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Phuoc Thien thanked Sojitz Vietnam Co., Ltd. for its interest in exploring cooperation and investment in the locality; at the same time, information was provided to the company about the situation of rice and rice production and the implementation of the Project "Sustainable development of 01 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta region by 2030" in Dong Thap province.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant departments and branches in, guiding and providing necessary information for the company to learn about investment and cooperation in the province.

Previously, the Company came to survey the current situation of harvesting, processing and application of rice husks at Phat Tai Co., Ltd. (Lap Vo town) and RiceGrowers Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Binh Thanh Trung commune), Lap Vo district.
