Dong Thap Shares Model “Entrepreneurial Coffee”
As posted information, after the announcement of the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) in 2006, in the afternoon of March 14, a workshop on sharing some good practices in improving business environment is organized in Hanoi. Before sharing the main contents, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Province People’s Committee expresses his sincerely thanks for business community, investors highly believing and evaluating the business environment in Dong Thap. As the result, PCI in 2016, Dong Thap is ranked 3rd and mantained at the top 6 of provinces having the best operating quality in the whole country.
Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee said that the announced report on Provincial Competetiveness Index is a valuable document and is one of the measures, criteria for development of the province.
Every time the report is released, local authorities have more opportunities to reconsider that the business community is not satisfied or not, so that the province can come up with solutions and carry out many practical and effective programs. The aim is to improve and enhance the quality of the business environment in order to bring the benefits for the people and businesses.
By carefully reviewing and analyzing the announcing results of the Competitiveness Index, Dong Thap has bravely implemented many new programs and solutions, including the "Entrepeneurs – Enterprises Coffee", implemented from the end of 2015 to now - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung said.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung continuely said, the initial goal of receiving businessmen in this place creates a favourable and comfortable environment for enterprises to have recommendations. Accordingly, local leaders can receive comments of each business only 15-30 minutes, helping to avoid the week-long or month-long administrative procedures as before.
More detailedly sharing, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee said, the Province firstly ogranzised the Entrepreneurs Coffee weekly. However, up to now, this activity is maintained every day. From 6:30 to 7:30 am, the leaders sit in the cafe within the campus of the Provincial People's Committee to firstly meet with businesses, entrepreneurs before starting to work at their offices. With an open atmosphere, the enterprises can comfortably and bravely discuss with the Provincial Leaders.
The environment of Entrepreneurial Coffee has created a two-way interaction for business and government on sharing information. Initially, it may be a place for enterprises to express their difficulties, then the initiatives and innovations for the local. In contrast, local leaders can go through it to survey the enterprises, to foster market economics, to have the thinking for Provincial Leaders because enterprises are the closest market-oriented people who can help the leaders to approach market thinking and to apply to the local management - Nguyen Thanh Hung emphasized.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee excitedly said that Dong Thap was honored to be speaking at this seminar, as well as with other provincial leaders to further analyze each aspect of economic governance policy in each locality in order to formulate suitable ideas and reforming plans in the future.
Ending his sharing, Leader of Dong Thap province commits to be always accompany and to closely work with the enterprises community on the path of their business development in Dong Thap homeland.
