Promoting Circulation and Consumption of Agricultural Products in The Context of The Covid-19 Epidemic
In the morning of September 13th, Deputy Prime Minister – Mr. Le Van Thanh chaired a national wide online conference with localities on promoting circulation and consumption of agricultural products in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic. Reporting at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee – Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan said that due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the production and consumption of agricultural products in the province faced difficulties. However, the province has promptly implemented many measures to support goods production and circulation, thereby preventing congestion. Until September 10th, the 130 Group of the province has connected to consume agricultural products with the purchasing units about 15.300 tons of fruit and over 5.500 tons of seafood.
At the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed the Government to consider and prioritize allocating Covid-19 vaccine to Dong Thap for injection for employees working in enterprises and laborers in the supply chain, agricultural and aquatic product consumption; to have general guidance, remove difficulties for enterprises operating "three on the spot", "four on the spot" to soon restore production activities; policies on exemption and reduction of corporate income tax and interest rate support for enterprises investing in cold storage of aquatic products, etc…
Deputy Prime Minister – Mr. Le Van Thanh asked provinces and cities to ensure the circulation of goods in accordance with the direction of the Central Government, without additional procedures and papers; absolutely must ensure not to spread disease during goods circulation. He also requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to hold meetings with enterprises and coordinate with professional agencies and enterprises in formulating plans to restore production; overall review of the impact of re-herding, re-production and assurance of food supplies at the end of the year and Lunar New Year. The Prime Minister requested Ministries and Central Departments with functions and tasks proactively provide guidance documents, coordinate with localities to support businesses and people, create conditions and ensure goods production and circulation.
