The Department of Planning and Investment of Đồng Tháp province is a specialized agency under Đồng Tháp Provincial People's Committee (PPC), which performs the function of advising and assisting the PPC to carry out the state management over the long-term and short-term plans and investment, including To sum up the socio-economic development long-term and short-term plans; To organize the implementation and propose mechanisms and policies for socio-economic management in the province; To manage the domestic investment and foreign investment in the province; To manage official development assistance (ODA) sources, loans from donors and NGO aids; To manage bidding activities; To register enterprises within the province; To sum up and uniformly manage the affairs of enterprises, collectives, cooperatives, and indivials economy; To organize on providing public services under its powers in accordance with the current laws.
