Dong Thap - Prey Veng Front made a preliminary conclusion of the implementation of their cooperation agreement
On the afternoon of December 13, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province and the Cambodian Fatherland Solidarity and Development Front Committee of Prey Veng province held a preliminary conference on the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation Agreement, for the period of 2022 – 2025.
The conference was co-chaired by Mr. Dinh Van Dung - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province and Mr. S'bong Sarath - Chairman of the Party Committee/ Chairman of the Council/ Chairman of the Cambodian Fatherland Solidarity Front Committee of Prey Veng province.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee/ Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province Pham Thien Nghia said that the successful signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the period of 2022 – 2025 by the two organizations of Dong Thap Front and Prey Veng has made an significant contribution to peace-building, friendship and cooperation to develop border areas.
Mr. Pham Thien Nghia hoped that the two sides would well orient key tasks for the next year. Thereby, it is aim to open up a new development step, promote the relationship between the two provinces and the two Front Organizations to become more and more deep, substantive and sustainable.
Accordingly, in 2023 – 2024, the governments of Dong Thap - Prey Veng provinces will regularly exchange delegations, maintain a relationship of solidarity, friendship and cooperation; closely coordinate, exchange information regularly, stably solve problems and incidents occurring in border areas, crime prevention and control and people protection are always closely concerned and coordinated; focus on upgrading infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure, to serve the needs of transporting and circulating goods across the border.
At the conference, the leaders of the Front of the two sides agreed to sign a report on the evaluation of the joint results of the implementation of the agreed contents and orientation of annual implementation solutions for the contents that have been and are being implemented, in order to ensure high efficiency in completing the contents of the cooperation agreement between the two organizations in the period of 2022 - 2025.
