Attending the program were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Quoc Phong; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Phan Van Thang, along with members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Party Committee members; representatives of leaders of provincial Departments, Agencies, and especially the presence of veteran journalists and typical journalists from press agencies in the province.

At the program, delegates and journalists looked back at the development journey of Dong Thap journalism, from simple newspaper pages, from rustic radio waves, from simple broadcasting sessions changing into a multimedia, modern press system at the present. Over the past 100 years, Dong Thap journalism has continuously matured and grown. Every word on the newspaper, every vivid film, every radio and television program is the crystallization of the wisdom, dedication, and tireless efforts of generations of journalists from the Land of Pink Lotus.

Sharing at the program, the veteran journalists shared emotional memories and impressions during their careers as well as experiences in carrying out social critique topics. At the same time, journalists also urged the current generation of journalists and reporters to continue the tradition, promote well the role of connecting the Party's will and the people's hearts, especially in modern journalism, where journalism must be a place to listen, reflect on aspirations, and essential issues from life, thereby creating consensus and cohesion between the Party and the people.

In addition, young journalists and reporters expressed their gratitude to the provincial leaders for always creating favorable conditions and their appreciation to generations of journalists who laid the foundation for Dong Thap journalism to develop as it is today; at the same time, they shared the advantages and difficulties in the multimedia and modern journalism environment.

Accordingly, a modern journalist must not only know how to write well but also know how to tell stories through various forms - from images, sounds to digital data. This requires every journalist to proactively equip themselves with multimedia skills, make good use of digital platforms, and always update technology trends. However, the skills alone are not enough; the important thing is to know how to use those skills to create valuable, in-depth content that touches the emotions and thoughts of readers.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Quoc Phong acknowledged and praised the contributions of the press to the development of Dong Thap province, in the flow of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Quoc Phong emphasized that the provincial leaders always consider the press an important force, always paying great attention to directing and orienting to create space and conditions for journalists to be creative, produce good journalistic products, correctly implement the Party's guidelines and policies, contribute to implementing major decisions and orientations, and promote the role of connecting the Party's will and the people's hearts.

In the period of organizational restructuring and provincial merger, Dong Thap will be in a new space with a larger area, potential, population size, and economy. Therefore, the Provincial Party Secretary requested Dong Thap journalism to also transform itself in that space; innovation must be stronger, maintaining its role as an important tool of the Party on the ideological front; continue to improve the quality of journalistic products, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and quality; strengthen training and fostering to improve the quality of the journalistic team; pay attention to the comprehensive development of journalistic activities, etc.

Recalling Uncle Ho's teaching, "Journalists are also revolutionary soldiers. Their pen and paper are sharp weapons," that teaching still retains its full value. The Provincial Party Secretary hoped that journalists would maintain a pure heart, firm and clear intellect, and that each journalistic product must ensure sharpness, humanity and constructiveness. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quoc Phong wished journalists good health, happiness, and success.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Standing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 02 collectives and 06 individuals for their outstanding achievements in journalism in Dong Thap province, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Viet Nam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025); the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 03 collectives and 24 outstanding journalists.
