Notably, this is the first time Dong Thap province has organized a provincial fruit festival. It is expected to attract 500,000 visitors, with the opening night alone in the evening of June 5 at Hung Vuong Square welcoming approximately 800 delegates.

The opening ceremony will begin at 8:00 p.m. and will be broadcast  live on Dong Thap Television, as well as simulcast on several television channels throughout the country. The opening art program is modernly staged, combining the river region's specific identity with new performance technologies.

In addition, the exhibition and trade promotion space is expected to gather more than 100 booths. These include booths showcasing fruits, OCOP (One Commune One Product) products, fruit-processed goods, and specialties from the Mekong Delta. It will also display models of the fruit industry value chain, preservation and processing technologies, and digital transformation in agriculture, while facilitating trade connections between businesses, cooperatives, distribution systems, and investors.

Perspective layout of the upcoming Water Music – Light – Artistic Mapping Projection Program

The water music, light, and artistic mapping projection program themed "Listen to the River's Tales" is considered one of the outstanding art-technology highlights of this festival, taking place at Hung Vuong Square every evening. The program utilizes modern performance technology to recreate the farmers' agricultural journey from planting and nurturing to harvesting, while also portraying the story of the river's deep connection to local life.

The "Mekong Delicacies" culinary space will introduce locals and tourists to signature dishes made from fruits and natural ingredients of the Southwestern region. This area will combine cooking demonstrations, culinary culture promotion, and interactive experiences.

Alongside these activities, several specialized seminars and conferences will be held, including "4.0 Farmers and Organized Raw Material Areas"; “Developing the value chain of key fruit industries”; and “Building and developing the province's key agricultural product brands”. Community and cultural activities will also be deployed throughout the festival, such as: Fruit sculpting art competition; Culinary contest; The final night of the "Charming Orchard"; Dong Thap Youth Festival; "Fruit Run" costume marathon; Fruit garden experiences and green tourism tours.
