According to actual records at Hung Vuong square in the afternoon of June 4, where the festival's main activities will take place, construction units, event organizers, and logistics are forces frantically finishing the last tasks, getting ready for the big festival to honor the fruit industry and promote the image of Dong Thap land.

Final touches are being applied to festival-related items, including the exhibition fair, trade promotion for fruits and fruit goods, OCOP products, and signature products of the Mekong Delta region. In accordance with the plan, units are also preparing and setting up the display and exhibition space for the fruit industry's value chain in Dong Thap.

The main stage area has basically completed its preparation work, serving as the space for organizing art programs—especially the light show featuring water music combined with artistic 3D mapping projection themed "Listen to the River's Tales."

At the Hung Vuong Square area, miniatures and fruit models for decoration and check-in have been basically finished, creating a lively highlight for the festival space. This is also the venue for the Fruit Arrangement Art Contest themed "Dong Thap - The Dong Thap - Sweetness of Alluvial Soil, Richness of the Land". The competing teams are currently rushing to complete their entries, showcasing creativity, cultural beauty, and the characteristic values of this rich, alluvial land.

Hung Vuong Square (Dao Thanh ward) will host the first Dong Thap Fruit Festival in 2026 from June 5 to June 8. The plan calls for 9 major events and 12 supporting events, including a number of well-known programs like the opening ceremony, a venue for showcasing and introducing Dong Thap tourism products, a venue for showcasing the fruit industry's value chain, a seminar on "Farmer 4.0 and Organized Raw Material Areas" trade promotion fair, a conference on creating the province's major fruit value chains, etc.
