Investing in Infrastructure to Serve the Sarus Crane Recovery Program
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee approved the infrastructure project for the second phase of the Sarus Crane development and restoration program at Tram Chim National Park. Tram Chim National Park serves as the project's investor.
The project's investment goal is to preserve and restore typical species and ecosystems of Tram Chim National Park in particular, and the old Dong Thap Muoi area in general (a miniature model of Dong Thap Muoi), exploiting and developing sustainable ecotourism.

The project is invested in the Biological Conservation Center in Tram Chim National Park's subdivision A3, with a total land size of 36,620 m2. The investment includes a crane breeding captive area, a crane breeding research area, internal roadways, a power system, lights, a water supply system, green trees, and grass.
The province manages and allocates funds for implementation from the state budget for the period 2021-2025.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee tasked Tram Chim National Park with organizing and preparing the necessary documents and procedures, as well as carrying out building investments in compliance with the legislation.

On November 3, 2023, the People's Committee of Dong Thap Province approved the project for the conservation and development of Sarus Cranes at Tram Chim National Park for the year 2022–2022. The project's overall purpose is to preserve and develop Tram Chim National Park's Sarus Crane herd by raising and releasing them into the wild. In ten years (2022-2022), 100 cranes will be raised, with at least 50 surviving. The released flock of red-crowned cranes will be able to reproduce independently, survive in the wild, and dwell year-round in Tram Chim National Park. |
